All sorts. Most weeks there will be 3-4 games on the go that will cater to different complexity levels. Generally, we avoid games that are likely to run over 3 hours.
No. The board games are just an excuse to make friends and build community. Many new members have only played Monopoly when joining us but grow to love the hobby.
No. We do our best to make sure that there are enough games to go around, and there are plenty of people willing to teach. If people have a game they want to share, we actively want to encourage them to bring it, but there is zero expectation. Most of our members don’t.
No. Thursday night sessions are open to everyone and there is no need to sign up. We do have a #roll-call channel on our Discord to track attendance so we know how many players to cater for, but that’s not mandatory.
For meatier games, people will often post in the #looking-for-players channel in the lead up to the event. If you’d prefer to know what you’re playing ahead of time, keep an eye out for that

Thursday nights are a well attended, a little less structured and we understand that can be intimidating for some people. Beth organises a Sunday Session at least once a month for those looking for a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere

Almost all of our events take place at Brew in Hull.
Parking: Free on-street parking is available outside after 6pm. If the city centre is busy, the nearby Hull History Centre car park is a good option.
Public transport: There's a bus stop right outside the venue, and it's just a five-minute walk from Hull train station.
